Charge a separate combination price for each combination of dimension values, such as region and channel. For how the dimensional pricing model calculates an amount, see Dimensional pricing model.

Prerequisites

  • A role with the Can Read Product, Can Read Product Pricing, and Can Create Product Pricing permissions. For details, see Permissions.
  • The pricing-preset panel is open, with Dimensional selected in Pricing Model. For steps, see Create a product or Add a pricing preset.

Define the dimensions

  1. Under Dimensions, in the Dimension field of the first row, enter a name, such as region.
  2. In the Values field of the same row, enter a dimension value, such as US, and press Enter. Repeat for each dimension value.
  3. To add another dimension, click Add dimension, and repeat the previous steps for the new row.
  4. To remove a dimension value, click it. To remove a dimension, click its delete icon.
Removing a dimension value also removes every combination price that uses it. To keep a combination price, change its dimension values before you remove the dimension value.
A pricing preset can have up to 4 dimensions. Below the dimensions, the panel shows the number of combinations. When another dimension value would exceed 625 combinations, the Values fields stop accepting dimension values. Each dimension needs a different name, and the dimension values of a dimension must differ from each other. Zenskar ignores case and leading and trailing spaces when it compares them. For example, Region and region count as the same name.

Set a price for each combination

The table of combination prices appears after a dimension has a name and a dimension value.
  1. Add rows to the table:
    • To add one row, click Add price. The row gets a combination that has no combination price yet. When every combination has a row, Add price is unavailable.
    • To add a row for every combination without a combination price, click Add uncovered prices. The button shows the number of such combinations, which can be up to 625.
  2. In a row, click Edit.
  3. Under Select dimension values, select a dimension value for each dimension.
  4. In Pricing Model, select Per Unit, Percent, Volume, or Tiered, and set its fields:
  5. Click Done.
  6. Repeat for each row. To delete a row, click Remove.
Each combination can have only one row. Zenskar flags a second row for the same combination, and the pricing preset cannot be saved until you change or remove one. On a period-of-time product, the rows have no Pricing Period field. The pricing period of the whole pricing preset applies to every row.

Set the fallback price and the pricing period

Without a fallback price, Zenskar charges unmatched quantity at zero, without an error. To charge it, set a fallback price.
  1. Optional: select Fallback price, and set its pricing model and fields. The fallback price charges unmatched quantity.
  2. If the product uses the period-of-time product type, set the pricing period in Pricing Period. Monthly is the default.
