Meter usage for a pricing preset

Measure the quantity of a pricing preset with a billable metric. For what metered usage is, see Metered usage.

Set up metered usage

  1. Select Usage is metered.
  2. In Meter, search for the billable metric, and select it.
  3. In Quantity Strategy, select the quantity strategy:
    • On Demand: each measured use counts as a separate consumption. This is the default.
    • Recurring: the measured quantity stays in place until it changes.
  4. If you selected Recurring, select the partial-period handling in Partial Period Handling:
    • Prorate: Zenskar charges only for the part of the period that the quantity was in place. This is the default.
    • Charge Full: Zenskar charges the full amount for the period.
A billable metric is required while Usage is metered is selected. To stop metering usage before you save, clear Usage is metered. Zenskar then clears Meter, Quantity Strategy, and Partial Period Handling.
