This is a task-oriented guide covering the steps to add a product. For the reasoning behind these fields, see products: concepts. To alter a product after it’s been created, see how to manage products.

Add a standalone product

  1. Go to Contracts → Products and start a new product.
  2. Enter a Product Name.
  3. Optionally, add a Description and an SKU.
  4. Add a Tax Code.
  5. If your organization has custom attributes defined for products, fill those in too.
  6. Save. Your product now exists in the catalog, but has no price yet.
  7. Open the product and add a pricing model to give it a rate.

Pricing models

See every pricing model Zenskar supports.

Add a bundle

  1. Go to Contracts → Products and start a new product.
  2. Enter a Product Bundle Name.
  3. Save. You’ll be prompted to add products to the bundle next.
  4. For each product you add to the bundle, either reuse one of its existing prices or set a price that only applies inside this bundle.
A tax code isn’t set at the bundle level. Each product inside the bundle keeps its own tax code.

Add a feature to a product’s pricing

  1. Open the product and go to its pricing.
  2. Add a feature: a discount, a tax rule, free units, a commitment, a grant, or a consumption.
  3. Fill in the feature’s fields. What’s required depends on the feature type, for example a percent discount needs a percentage, while a grant needs a triggering event.
