This is a task-oriented guide covering the steps to alter a product after it’s been created. This page assumes a product already exists. For creation steps, see how to add a product. For the reasoning behind these fields, see products: concepts.

Edit a product

  1. Go to Contracts → Products and open the product.
  2. Update its name, description, SKU, tax code, or custom attributes as needed.
  3. Save your changes.
Editing a product doesn’t touch contracts that already use it. Those contracts keep working, but Zenskar flags them as needing a refresh so you can review whether the change should carry through.

Add another price to a product

  1. Open the product and go to its pricing.
  2. Add a new pricing model alongside any it already has.
  3. Choose which price applies when you add the product to a phase.

Add or edit a feature

  1. Open the product’s pricing.
  2. Add a new feature, or open an existing one to change its values.
  3. Save.

Manage a bundle’s member products

  1. Open the bundle.
  2. Add or remove member products, and set whether each one reuses an existing price or uses one that only applies inside this bundle.
You can’t remove a product from your catalog while it’s still a member of a bundle. Remove it from the bundle first.

Deactivate a product

  1. Open the product.
  2. Set its status to inactive.
An inactive product stays in your catalog and on any contracts that already reference it, it’s just no longer intended for new business.

Delete a product

  1. Remove the product from every contract, plan, and bundle that references it.
  2. Delete the product.
Deletion is blocked while any contract, plan, or bundle still references the product.

Delete a pricing model

  1. Open the product and go to its pricing.
  2. Delete the pricing model you no longer need.
Deletion is blocked while any contract still references that specific pricing model.
