### On/off product subtype

The subtype of services that are either enabled or disabled, such as priority support.

See [On/off product subtype](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#onoff-product-subtype).

### Partial-period handling

The rule that decides how Zenskar charges, under the recurring quantity strategy, for a quantity that starts partway through a period: in proportion to the time used, or in full.

See [Metered usage](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#metered-usage).

### Per-unit pricing model

The [pricing model](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/glossary#pricing-model) that charges the same price for every unit.

### Period ratio

The length of a billing period divided by the length of its pricing period.

See [Period-of-time products: a price for each pricing period](/docs/20260301/pricing-models/concepts/per-unit#period-of-time-products-a-price-for-each-pricing-period).

See [Period-of-time product type](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#period-of-time-product-type).

### Point-in-time product type

The type of products that the customer consumes at one moment, such as an API call or a generated report.

See [Point-in-time product type](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#point-in-time-product-type).

### Pricing model

The method that a pricing preset uses to calculate an amount from a quantity.

See [Pricing models: how an amount is calculated](/docs/20260301/pricing-models/concepts/pricing-models#pricing-models-how-an-amount-is-calculated).

### Pricing period

The length of time that the amount of a pricing preset covers, such as one month.

See [Pricing presets](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#pricing-presets-how-you-charge).

### Pricing preset

A reusable way to charge for a product in one currency. A product can have several pricing presets, but a contract calculates charges for the product with only one of them at a time.

See [Pricing presets](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#pricing-presets-how-you-charge).

### Pricing-preset ID

The identifier that Zenskar assigns to a pricing preset when you create it.

See [Pricing presets](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#pricing-presets-how-you-charge).

### Product

A good or service that you sell, such as a software seat or an API call. A product describes what you sell, not what it costs.

See [Products: what you sell](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#products-what-you-sell).

### Product ID

The identifier that Zenskar assigns to a product when you create it.

See [Product subtypes](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#product-subtypes-how-usage-is-measured).

### Product type

The classification of a product by when the customer consumes it: at one moment, or over a period of time.

See [Product types](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#product-types-when-consumption-happens).

## Q

### Quantity product subtype

See [Quantity product subtype](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#quantity-product-subtype).

### Quantity strategy

The rule that decides how Zenskar treats the measured quantity of a pricing preset: as separate consumptions that occur over time, or as a standing allocation that lasts until it changes.

See [Metered usage](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#metered-usage).

## R

### Recurring quantity strategy

A quantity strategy that treats the measured quantity as an allocation that stays in place until it changes, such as a number of seats.

See [Metered usage](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#metered-usage).

## S

### SKU

An identifier that you assign to a product to track it in your inventory or in external systems.

See [Products: what you sell](/docs/20260301/product-modules/products/concepts/products#products-what-you-sell).

See [Tier boundary: where an upper limit falls](/docs/20260301/pricing-models/concepts/volume#tier-boundary-where-an-upper-limit-falls).

### Tier-reset period

The length of time after which the quantity counted against the tiers starts again from 0.

See [Tier-reset period: when the count starts again](/docs/20260301/pricing-models/concepts/pricing-models#tier-reset-period-when-the-count-starts-again).
